Below are two research studies that were conducted by Warriors at Ease-trained teachers and a paper written for the Joint Special Operations Command that mentions Warriors at Ease many times. These are great documents to take with you and share with anyone who’s looking to learn more about the impact of Warriors at Ease or the efficacy of yoga and meditation.

A Qualitative Study Exploring Yoga in Veterans with PTSD Symptoms
This study was conducted and written by WAE-trained teachers Robin Cushing and Susan Alden, alongside Kathryn L. Braun. Findings from this study can help the Department of Defense and the Veterans Health Administration implement yoga as an adjunct or alternative treatment for veterans with PTSD symptoms.

Military-Tailored Yoga for Veterans with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
In this study, Veterans participated in 60-min weekly yoga sessions for six weeks taught by a Warriors at Ease-trained yoga instructor. The yoga sessions incorporated Vinyasa-style yoga with Warriors at Ease's trauma-sensitive, military-culture-informed approach.

Warrior Pose: Building Readiness through Resilience–Yoga and Meditation
This paper was published by Joint Special Operations University Press in 2019. A variety of techniques and practices are explored in this paper including yoga, trauma-sensitive yoga, systematic relaxation, breathing, meditation, and iRest Yoga Nidra–all of which are evidenced-based tools with proven efficacy for improving the health and resilience of Joint Force service members and their families.
